San Clinic Parkway

San Clinic Parkway

Sydney Adventist Hospital, known as ‘the San’ is the largest private and not-for-profit hospital in NSW. Situated in Wahroonga on Sydney’s north shore, it offers over 700 beds for patients across a range of medical specialties.

The San Clinic provides over 100 specialist consultant rooms across three levels and offers undercover parking with direct access to the building for the convenience of both patients and doctors.

Park Agility were contracted to install a parking guidance solution for the upgraded parking facility in 2019. The project included per-bay parking sensors for 157 parking bays across two levels and way-finding signage.

The solution was required to overcome blind spots and accurately show parking availability using sensor lights to indicate bay occupation, as well as way finding signage internally to guide drivers to available parking. In addition, external signage to the carpark indicates occupancy and accessibility.

The parking guidance system (PGS) was installed during construction phase of the clinic’s upgrades and extensions, then became operational once the works were complete and the clinic open to the public.

The SenseIQ Management System provides accurate bay utilisation data for managing the parking asset and real time signage display information for informed decision making.

By accurately guiding drivers to available parking bays upon entry, carpark circling and vehicle emissions are reduced and the PGS offers an efficient and convenient parking solution for the hundreds of patients and doctors who visit the clinic daily.

    Westpoint Blacktown

    Westpoint Blacktown

Westpoint is ‘the home of shopping’ in Greater Western Sydney. It is a large, multi-level centre offering over 250 major and specialty retailers, entertainment options including a cinema, bowling, and arcade games plus an indoor/outdoor dining precinct with cuisine from around the world.

With a focus on providing experiences that fulfil the needs and aspirations of the Blacktown’s diverse community, QIC recently partnered with Park Agility to introduce parking guidance technology across 4300 bays in the centre’s carpark.

The Park Agility team delivered in excess of 3300 bay sensors and indicator lights across six levels of the carpark, laser-based sensors and magnetic resonance loops on the rooftop and over 230 wayfinding signs, indicating parking availability.

Technology packages were supplied for wayfinding signs that were built by OMG! and designed by Strategic Spaces. These signs and wayfinding messages show drivers the number of available bays and direction to travel at key decision points throughout the carpark.

On the carpark’s rooftop, which houses over 750 bays, 10 count points have been installed enabling the Park Agility management system to keep an accurate count of vehicles passaging between rooftop areas irrespective of the direction of travel. In addition, 39 rooftop disability bays have been fitted with individual bay detection using laser-based sensors. These technologies combine to provide accurate, up to date data about outdoor parking availability by parking category which is communicated to drivers via the signage solution installed.

External and Entry signs supplied by OMG! also include sign technology packages provided by Park Agility. These various wayfinding messages provide information for drivers prior to entry to the centre, enable customers to know bay availability in different levels/areas and helping them to find parking as conveniently as possible.

Westpoint is designed to offer a one-stop shopping and entertainment district for residents and visitors alike. Well served by public transport and major road networks, its parking facility now offers up to date technology to ensure the customer experience is smooth, efficient, and enjoyable from start to finish.

        Bankstown Sports Club

        Bankstown Sports Club

Bankstown Sports Club is a popular, well-established club in the south west of Sydney. It is one of the largest clubs in NSW offering a vast range of facilities to its members and their guests.

The Club enjoys high visitor numbers, and its facilities include multiple restaurants, bars, cafes, and gaming lounges. It also has a theatre catering for concerts and live shows.

Whilst the Club has a large, 5-level car park with over 1200 parking bays, it has suffered from congestion during peak times. Park Agility were engaged by Bankstown Sports Club to install our market leading individual bay sensors and indicator lights, plus our latest wayfinding signage solution throughout this large car park with the intent to reduce circling traffic congestion and to improve their customers’ experience by making entering, parking, and exiting as efficient and easy as possible.

The project included the installation of over 40 large internal wayfinding signs used to guide drivers with an accurate, real-time count of the number of available parking bays; and showcase parking categories such as disabled and EV designated parking spaces.

Our wayfinding signs also feature additional dynamic messaging capabilities, allowing the Club’s marketing department to promote upcoming events and for the operations team to highlight important safety and community messages, as required. This ticker-tape style messaging capability combines with bay count and directional information to optimise the functionality of, and investment in, the car park’s wayfinding signage.

In addition, the Club’s car park offers a reserved section for local businesses to use during office hours. To differentiate this section, orange ‘Reserved’ lights appear above each individual bay when reserved during core business hours; additionally at this time, those bays are not included in the way finding signage count. Critically however, outside of core business hours and particularly on weekends, these lights move to a green indicator and are included in the available parking bay count and increase the number of bays available for the club’s customers.

With its community and member focus, Bankstown Sports Club has improved the experience of its visitors and additionally worked towards reduced emissions, by helping drivers to navigate their large car park more easily.

Park Agility again at the forefront of parking “faster, smarter, greener” with their clients.

          Devon St, Maroondah

          Devon St, Maroondah

A new multi-level parking deck in Croydon, Melbourne has been constructed to provide much-needed commuter parking. Located on Devon St which is centrally located behind Croydon Main Street and adjacent to the Croydon train station and bus depot, the new amenity also features a commercial tenancy facility.

With three levels and approximately 400 car parking bays, Park Agility have provided loop counting technology to accurately calculate availability on each level of the facility; and display signage to provide the occupancy information for each level to drivers before they enter the car park.

Induction loops are cut into the roadway on each ramp to provide accurate counting of vehicle movements between levels. This passage counting is handled by Park Agility’s custom designed control boards. When cars move across the loops, the system detects their direction, enabling accurate area counting of arrivals and departures for each level. With Park Agility’s proprietary firmware, the count is highly accurate at capture of bi-directional vehicle passages, so when cars pass through a count point at the same time moving in different directions, the count remains correct.

In addition, three solar-powered precinct signs have been installed on busy Main St, directing drivers to the parking deck with accurate up to the minute information about parking bay availability.

With this new facility, Maroondah Council provides car charging points for electric vehicles; sustainable design; and a safe, accessible facility for drivers and pedestrians alike to efficiently access a local transport hub for their daily commute.

            Constitution Place, Canberra

            Constitution Place, Canberra

Constitution Place is a centrally located, 12-level precinct owned by Capital Property Group. It houses commercial offices, government departments, and the A by Adina hotel, plus dining and retail offerings, a gym, and other amenities.

Having worked on the parking technology requirements for the group’s Brindabella Business Park properties, Park Agility were delighted to once again work with Capital Property Group installing parking guidance and external signage for the Constitution Place precinct.

With over 550 parking bays across 4 basement levels, the individual bay sensors and parking guidance system has been incorporated to monitor and optimise the use of permanent, standard, and disabled bays for permit holders, hotel guests and casual users.

External signage notifies drivers of parking availability prior to entry into the precinct’s car park facility and internal signage serves as a guide to drivers, indicating the location of available parking bays.

In addition, internal signage provides safety messages for drivers at key locations. For example, the Park Agility SenseIQ management system also monitors the loading dock and common access driveway.  External signage advises incoming trucks if the loading dock is already in use or available before they commit to the laneway. Internal signage also advises drivers exiting the car park to be aware of entering trucks.

With Park Agility’s focus on accuracy and reliability, the parking technology installed at Constitution Place will help Capital Property Group to manage the different parking categories the precinct caters for. The SenseIQ management system offers complete configurability and control, allowing the management team to track and plan for bay occupation and vehicle transit events within the car park.
